Michael Reed
Music supervisor, author of arrangements

Michael Reed was a music director, conductor and author of arrangements in more than 20 West-End musicals including “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Barnum”, “Ziegfeld” and others. He worked in many musicals by A.L. Webber including “Joseph and the amazing dreamcoat” and “Aspects of love”.

Michael Reed was also an invited conductor of British orchestras Royal Philharmonic and concert BBC orchestra, and is a founder of Royal Philharmonic pop orchestra. Michael Reed conducted Jose Carreras album “Passion” and Sara Brightman album “Surrender”. He also worked on TV, he was the author of arrangements and conductor of “Eurovision” musical contest. In 1999 Michael Reed was the winner of Vivian Ellis Prize as Best Composer of the Year and Warner Chappell prize for his musical “Les Enfants du Paradis”.

Together with Warner Chappell and Jim Steinman he created the musical “Garbo”,  its premiere took place in Stockholm in 2003. Besides this, he was a musical supervisor of «The Three Musketeers” musical in Berlin and Stuttgart and "Ich war noch niemals in New York" in Hamburg, the film version of the Broadway musical «A Tale of Two Cities» and others. In 2009 Michael Reed did vocal and dance arrangement of the new Viennese version of «Tanz der Vampire».
