Thomas Borchert is one of the top stars of the European musical scene.
He embodied u.a. Frank N. Furter in the "Rocky Horror Show", Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar", Lucheni and Death in "Elisabeth", Buddy in "The Buddy Holly Story", Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables", Leopold Mozart in "Mozart!", Jekyll and Hyde in the musical of the same name, Count von Krolock in "Dance of the Vampires", The Phantom of the Opera in Lloyd Webber musical, the title role in Wildhorn "Dracula", Gaston in "Gigi" (London) and Maxim de Winter in "Rebecca". The main role in "The Count of Monte Christo" composer Frank Wildhorn wrote for him specially, as well as the Merlin in "Artus-Excalibur". In the DE of "Next To Normal" he played the Dan. In the classic "Kiss Me Kate" he was seen as Fred / Petruchio at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and as Peron in the Viennese "Evita" production.
As an actor, composer and producer Borchert brought the monologue "Novecento" on the stage of the Hamburger Kammerspiele, where he also played the role of Anthony in the DE of "End Of The Rainbow". At the Shakespeare Festival on the Rosenburg (Austria) he played Theseus and Oberon in "A Midsummer Night Dream". For the VBW he conceived the musical show "Rock It" and for the musical "Divas" (Wiener Metropol) he wrote several songs.
As a singer / songwriter he has released several CDs. His album "More than any word" was awarded in 2001 with the "Prize of the German Song Poets". With various solo evenings Borchert has been performing regularly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for many years.
