Chepurnova Karina

She was born in Shahty of Rostovskaya oblast. In 2005 she graduated the Rostov State Conservatory named after S.V. Rakhmaninov, class of “Solo singing” (pedagogue M.N. Hudoverdova).

From 2003 till 2005 she worked in Rostov State Musical Theatre performing leading parts in productions. She was touring in Great Britain and Ireland. In July of 2005 she took part in master-classes of Summer academy in Mikkeli city (Finland).
From September 2005 she is studying in the Academy of young opera singers of Mariinsky Theatre (under L.A. Gergieva). She performed on Mariinsky stage in parts of Musetta (“La Boheme” G. Puccini), Susanna (“The Marriage of Figaro” W.A. Mozart) and Masha ("Moskva. Cheremushki”" D. Schostakovich).

In 2005 she was invited to Saint-Petersburg Theatre of Musical comedy on which stage she performs following parts: Mary Lloyd and Maritza («The Duchess from Chicago» and  «Countess Maritza» by I. Kalman), Kristina («The Bird Seller» C. Zeller), Hanna Glavari («The Merry Widow» F. Lehar), Lilli Vanessi (“Kiss me, Kate!” C. Porter), Lubasha Tolmacheva ("Sevastopol waltz" K. Listov), Rosalinde (“The Bat” J. Strauss").

In 2008 she became laureate of International competition “Operetta-Land”.

In 2013 for part of Angèle Didier in operetta by F. Lehar "The Count of Luxembourg" she was given the Highest theatre Saint-Petersburg award "Golden Sofit" in nomination "Best female part in operetta".

In 2018 for part of Cin Ci La in operetta by C. Lombardo and V. Ranzato «Cin Ci La» she was given the Highest theatre Saint-Petersburg award "Golden Sofit" in nomination "Best female part in operetta and musical".
