Yuri Schwarzkopf noted that the theater of musical comedy consistently embodies the thesis formulated during the establishment of a professional holiday: "theater as a means of mutual understanding and strengthening peace between peoples." Thus, this season, a team of specialists from all over the world has released a big musical Miss Saigon, and another premiere is being prepared - the classic operetta by F. Lehár Frasquita, on which a Hungarian production team is working. The idea was also voiced about the need to quickly restore theatrical life after the pandemic, since during the months of downtime the theaters lost their own income. Schwarzkopf stated that in a few months of work, not all problems have receded, and the audience is returning to theaters, but more slowly than expected, and thanked the leadership of St. Petersburg for allowing 75% of the halls occupancy, which is significantly more than in Moscow and other regions. He stressed that he is not a supporter of the systemic transfer of theatrical action online, since the distance breaks the emotional connection between the theater and the viewer. In addition, Yuri Schwarzkopf spoke about the project to create a feature film based on the book by Anatoly Korolkevich "And the muses were not silent ...", initiated by director Karen Gevorkyan, one of the creators of the documentary "Siege Rondo", presented at the theater on the Day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade. |
